The off-ramp from eastbound Interstate 80 to Green Valley Road in Fairfield will be closed twice this week, starting Tuesday.
The first closure will start Tuesday evening at 7 p.m., with the off-ramp re-opening to traffic Wednesday morning at 5 a.m.
A second closure will occur in the same spot from Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. until Thursday morning at 5 a.m.
The closures will give crews time to further the Interstate 80-Interstate 680-Highway 12 Interchange Project, according to a news release from the California Department of Transportation (CalTrans).
East-bound traffic will be detoured to the Suisun Valley Road exit, then onto Pittman, Cordelia and Lopes Roads. Lopes Road becomes Green Valley Road.
Along with the off-ramp closure, the connector ramp from east-bound Interstate 80 to south-bound Interstate 680 will also be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. That closure starts one hour later at 8 p.m. and lasts until 4 a.m.
Motorists who need to transition into south-bound Interstate 680 will exit Chadbourne Road, then merge onto west-bound Interstate 80 where they can take the south-bound exit to Interstate 680.
The Highway 12 connector ramp to east-bound Interstate 80 will also be closed Tuesday and Wednesday night starting at 8 p.m. During that closure, motorists will exit Red Top Road, then merge onto Interstate 80. The connector ramp closure lasts until the following morning at 5 a.m.
