While the heat warning begins on Thursday, forecasters say the hot weather will actually arrive in Solano County starting Wednesday, with some areas of North Solano seeing temperatures as high as 100 degrees during the hottest part of the day.
During the heat wave, there will be little relief overnight, with temperatures that are above seasonal averages, forecasters said. At all times, weather experts say people should remain indoors when possible, use air conditioning, drink plenty of fluids and check up on family members, neighbors and friends who may be at a higher risk of developing heat-related illnesses.

Coastal areas of Solano County will see a break from the hot weather starting Friday, with temperatures in the low 80s in Benicia and Vallejo. At the same time, temperatures farther inland will be in the upper 90s to low 100s, suggesting the coast is the place to be during this weekend’s heat wave.
The region will see a reprieve starting Monday, with temperatures falling to the mid-80s to upper-90s in North Solano and the mid-70s along coastal South Solano.
