“Extreme heat will significantly increase the potential for heat-related illnesses,” meteorologists with the National Weather Service said in a forecast bulletin.
Weather experts said people can battle the heat by drinking plenty of fluids, staying inside where possible and using air conditioning when practical.
Young children and the elderly should be checked on regularly to ensure they are not suffering from heat-related illnesses.
