A two-alarm house fire caused a series of headaches for Fairfield firefighters on Thursday.
The fire was reported around 3 p.m. along the 3800 block of Chapparal Drive near Rollingwood Drive.
The fire was initially contained to the garage portion of the house, but subsequent searches and walk-throughs of the structure revealed fire burning inside several walls within the home.
A second-alarm response was triggered after the fire reached the attic portion of the home, drawing firefighters from Suisun City and Vallejo.
The fire was finally contained around 5 p.m. Two people and several pets were displaced as a result of the blaze.
The cause of the fire was not known as of Thursday evening.
