Firefighters tackle blaze at Vacaville home
Firefighters in Vacaville tackled a sizable blaze inside the garage of a home on Monday.
The fire started around 2:20 p.m. at a home along Reading Way.
Dispatchers initially received a report of a fully-involved garage fire that was quickly spreading to a shared fence with a neighboring structure.
Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the initial structure, though some smoke damage was reported to a neighboring home, according to Vacaville Fire Chief Kris Concepcion.
All occupants of the home were able to escape, and a firefighter rescued a pet inside the home, Concepcion said. There were no injuries reported as of 3 p.m.
The fire started during a Red Flag Warning when meteorologists warned that fires could start quickly and spread rapidly.
The Red Flag Warning covers all of Solano County through at least Tuesday evening.
