Firefighters in Rio Vista were dispatched twice to the same car fire on Thursday and are now investigating the possibility that the fire was an arson.
Around 5:30 a.m., a fire crew was sent to the area of the Cliff House along Highway 160 near Highway 12 for a report of a single car on fire.
The flames were quickly doused, and fire crews reported no damage to property or injuries in connection with the fire.
Shortly after 6:30 a.m., the fire crew was dispatched once again to the same car on fire in the same location. A firefighter on scene said it appeared someone had poured gasoline around the car in an attempt to re-ignite the fire.
No suspect has been identified in the case. The California Highway Patrol will be on scene as officials continue to investigate the incident.
