Forecasters with the National Weather Service in Sacramento have issued a Fire Weather Watch for early next week.
The watch period starts Monday morning at 11 a.m. and lasts until Tuesday evening at 5 p.m. and could be upgraded to a Red Flag Warning if weather forecasts remain the same through the weekend.
During the watch period, sustained northerly winds between 15 miles per hour and 25 miles per hour are expected, with gusts up to 35 miles per hour. Forecasters say the strongest wind will be experienced on Monday.
Humidity levels will dip between 10 percent and 15 percent, with only a moderate amount of recovery overnight.
Forecasters say the greatest threat will be the Sacramento Valley west of Interstate 5, which includes all of Solano County. Any fires that start during the watch period could spread quickly.
