Firefighters battled a two-alarm vegetation fire that burned near Rio Vista early Tuesday morning.
The fire was reported around midnight Tuesday in the area of Highway 12 and Highway 160 in what is known as the Delta Fire District, according to Rio Vista Fire Department officials.
A strike team from Solano County was dispatched to provide assistance to firefighters battling the blaze. Crews from the California State Prison in Vacaville, Benicia Fire Department, Benicia Fire Department, Fairfield Fire Department, Suisun City Fire Department and Contra Costa County Fire have also been dispatched to provide mutual aid.
The fire was contained around 2:30 a.m., according to a Rio Vista fire official. It was not immediately clear if there was damage to structures or other property.
Electrical service is currently offline for more than 2,200 Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) customers. A fire official said PG&E crews are working on power lines in the area of the fire.
