Fairfield fire officials are investigating the cause of a large blaze at a trailer park late Sunday evening.
The fire broke out around 11:50 p.m. at a trailer along Circle Drive near North Texas Street. A caller told fire dispatchers the blaze started after power lines fell in the area.
When fire crews arrived, they witnessed flames in a number of trailers and nearby parked cars. Power lines were also on fire, according to firefighters on scene.
The blaze briefly spread to a nearby fence line, triggering an evacuation of homes along Vicksburg Drive.
The fire at the trailer park was knocked down just before 12:30 a.m. Monday. At least three trailers were damaged by flames, a fire commander said.
