Fairfield police officers are on the scene of a standoff at a home along Cleveland Street.
Around 11:30 p.m., police were called to a report of a man who was in violation of a restraining order filed by a former partner.
The man later confirmed to dispatchers that he was barricaded in a garage with a firearm and reportedly said he’d shoot officers if they attempted to retrieve him from the home.
Officers deployed a Bearcat to the scene and took a defensive position around the home for at least an hour. During that time, the suspect repeatedly called police in Fairfield and Napa County, according to dispatches reviewed by Solano News Update.
Officers remained on the scene until around 1:15 a.m. They left without making an arrest.
No further information was available as of early Tuesday morning.
