Fairfield police officers recovered a stolen vehicle that belonged to a DoorDash employee on Wednesday.
Around 6:15 p.m. officers received a call of a vehicle that was stolen from the parking lot of NorthBay Hospital. The vehicle reportedly belonged to a DoorDash employee, and hospital security believed the car was taken by a former patient.
Police began searching for the stolen vehicle, described as a 2017 Dodge Neon with a license plate from Mexico. About 15 minutes later, a patrol officer spotted the car in the parking lot of a nearby chicken sandwich restaurant.
Officers detained one person at the scene, though it wasn’t immediately clear from dispatches reviewed by Solano NewsNet if the person was the suspect involved in the alleged crime.
