A quick response by Fairfield firefighters led to a quick extinguish of a blaze at an apartment complex on Friday.
Around 11:30 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to an apartment complex along the 800 block of East Tabor Avenue. When they arrived, fire crews spotted a fire on a balcony of an upstairs unit that was spreading to the roof of the building.
“The crews initiated an aggressive fire attack and quickly brought the blaze under control,” a fire official wrote in a social media post.
The quick actions of firefighters helped prevent severe structural damage to the apartment unit. As a result, no one was displaced by the fire, the agency said.
There were no injuries reported.
