Firefighters tackle one-alarm vegetation blaze in Fairfield

Firefighters in Fairfield are on the scene of a one-alarm vegetation fire burning behind a hotel.
The fire was reported around 11:15 a.m. along the 2100 block of North Texas Street.
A responding fire crew found around 20 feet of grass on fire behind the Gateway Inn hotel.
Getting access to the fire was an initial challenge for responding crews, but firefighters eventually found their way into the field from Santa Ana Drive.
The fire was contained around 11:30 a.m. No structures were threatened and there were no injuries.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
