Officers with the Fairfield Police Department were not about to let a deliveryman’s arrest for driving while intoxicated ruin the community’s Mother’s Day.
Early Saturday morning, officers were dispatched to Clay Bank Road for a report of a traffic collision involving a person who was later arrested for DUI.
After police learned the suspect involved in the crash was a flower deliveryman with outstanding orders that had yet to be fulfilled, they took matters into their own hands.
On Sunday, the agency posted several photos to their social media accounts explaining that officers were delivering the remaining flowers over the weekend.
“Hopefully we get the flowers to their destinations on time!” an agency spokesperson wrote in a Facebook post.
