Excessive Heat Warning expanded to Wednesday

The National Weather Service in Sacramento says a period of excessive heat will begin earlier than previously forecasted.
On Tuesday, the agency expanded its Excessive Heat Warning to start Wednesday at 2 p.m. It was originally scheduled to start on Thursday.
Forecasters with the weather office said temperatures across the Sacramento region will exceed 100 degrees in most places, including northern parts of Solano County.

The hottest periods of the day will be between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., during which people should avoid the outdoors when possible, use air conditioning, drink plenty of fluids and keep a close watch on those with sensitive health conditions.
The Excessive Heat Warning is still scheduled to end late Saturday evening.
On Monday, Solano County said its public libraries would serve as cooling centers during normal business hours. The City of Vacaville will also maintain a cooling center at the McBride Senior Center (91 Town Square, Vacaville) on Thursday and Friday between the hours of 12 p.m. and 8 p.m.
