The driver of a vehicle that crashed on Highway 12 last week was arrested earlier this year on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol, Solano NewsNet has learned.
Jordan Colvin, 20, was identified by the Rio Vista Police Department as the driver of a Honda Accord that collided with a Chevrolet Suburban on highway 12 near Summerset Road last Wednesday.
Colvin was one of four people killed in the crash, along with two passengers inside the Honda and an elderly woman inside the Chevrolet.
Police originally said Colvin was from Rancho Cordova, though they later affirmed he had moved to Vacaville in recent weeks. In April, Colvin was arrested by police in Folsom on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after a hit-and-run incident there, according to records reviewed by Solano NewsNet.
Colvin was scheduled to be arraigned in a Placer County courtroom last month, but his arraignment was delayed to October. He was released in the meantime with few restrictions, though as part of his pre-trial release, he agreed not to break any new laws.
