One arrested after standoff at Fairfield home

A brief standoff at a Fairfield home on Tuesday eventually resulted in the arrest of a local resident, according to information obtained by Solano NewsNet.
Around 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to a home along the 900 block of Harding Street after receiving a report of an aggressive person inside the home who was known to carry a firearm.
A tactical team was assembled, and Fairfield police issued several warnings using a loudspeaker attached to a patrol car.
Officers contacted the wanted subject several times by phone. At one point, the subject said he was not at home, according to dispatches.
Around 8 p.m., officers ended the standoff. The suspect was later arrested and charged with battery, according to jail booking logs.
