Suisun City firefighters helped rescue a family of four who were stuck aboard a stranded boat in Grizzly Bay.
Around 7 p.m., firefighters received a request for assistance after the U.S. Coast Guard learned of a boat that had run aground in shallow waters in Grizzly Bay near the mouth of the Montezuma Slough.
Dispatches reviewed by Solano NewsNet revealed a family of four had been rationing food for the last two days. None of the passengers aboard the boat appear to be suffering from a medical emergency.
The four were rescued by Suisun City firefighters around 8:15 p.m., at which point they were helped aboard a U.S. Coast Guard vessel that took them to shore.
