A small grass fire drew a large firefighting response near an apartment complex in Vacaville on Saturday.
The fire was reported around 12:30 p.m. along Quinn Road near the west-bound lanes of Interstate 80.
A police officer on scene reported a small vegetation fire that was bucking up against a concrete wall of an apartment complex.
Preliminary information indicated the fire may have been sparked by a lawnmower being used by a landscaping crew.
The fire was mostly contained around 12:45 p.m., but shifting wind provoked firefighters to call for a first-alarm response.
The apartment complex was not threatened by the blaze. Traffic along the freeway was slowed, but otherwise not impacted.
