Crash, fire closes Peabody Road in Fairfield

A vehicle crash sparked a wind-whipped fire that has closed both directions of Peabody Road in Fairfield.
The fire started around noon when a vehicle crashed into a utility pole near the intersection of Peabody Road and Vanden Road, which also intersects with Cement Hill Road.
The fire appears to be burning on the Cement Hill Road side of the intersection, according to fire dispatches reviewed by Solano NewsNet.
It is unclear if anyone involved in the vehicle crash was injured. Power outages have been reported in the area, and both directions of Peabody Road are closed in the area of the fire.
