CHP Solano issues over 200 citations during Christmas enforcement period

Officers with the California Highway Patrol issued more than 200 citations during a maximum enforcement period over the Christmas holiday weekend.
The announcement was made in a post on Twitter late Tuesday evening.
The maximum enforcement period lasted from Thursday, December 24 at 6 p.m. to around 11:50 p.m. on Sunday, December 27.
During the maximum enforcement period, CHP officers in Solano County:
Issued 233 citations to drivers.
Issued 22 citations for drivers who were speeding in excess of 100 miles per hour.
Made 9 DUI-related arrests.
The California Highway Patrol is expected to conduct another enforcement campaign during the New Year’s Eve holiday, though no such action was announced as of Tuesday evening.
