CHP seeks information in fatal crash near Fairfield

The California Highway Patrol is asking for the public to come forward with information that could help them solve a fatal hit-and-run crash near Fairfield last week.
Last Friday, officers with the CHP received a call around 6 p.m. of a crash with injuries around Abernathy Road and Andrews Lane. When officers arrived, they found a person who was suffering from injuries that would later turn out to be fatal.
The road was blocked as police processed the scene of the crash.
In a social media post over the weekend, authorities said they were looking for a gold-colored Lexus sedan that may have been in the area at the time of the crash.
Anyone with information is asked to come forward by contacting the CHP’s Solano Area office at 1-707-428-2100 or by calling the CHP’s hotline at 1-800-835-5247.
