Solano County's registrar of voters said the error was present in around 2,500 guides distributed to Dixon residents.

The Solano County Registrar of Voters says it has identified a printing error in a recently-distributed voter guide in which a Dixon city council candidate's statement was accidentally left out.
A county official says around 2,500 voter guides did not contain a candidate statement for Jerry Castenon, who is running for re-election on the city's council.
"We discovered the omission late Wednesday and immediately got to work informing voters of the issue," Tim Flanagan, Solano County's information officer and registrar of voters, said in a news release on Thursday. "This is an unfortunate error caused by our vendor who assembles the voter information guide."
Flanagan said county officials would be reviewing their quality control process to ensure the same error doesn't happen in the future.
"It’s important for our office to act quickly to correct any errors with our documents, regardless of the cause," Flanagan said. "If voters believe there is incorrect information in their Voter Guides or have an issue with their ballots, we ask them to contact us right away."
Flanagan said it had notified around 1,700 voters of the error and had provided copies of the statement on a separate page. Corrected copies were also mailed to all 2,500 households that were believed to have received the first version of the guide.
An official said Solano County has not received any returned ballots by mail for the affected Dixon district. The county mailed ballots and a voter guide to registered voters last week; many began receiving those ballots earlier this week.
Early voting began in Solano County on October 5. Anyone with questions is asked to call 707-784-6675 or send an email to elections@solanocounty.com.
