Woman found stabbed inside Fairfield home

A Fairfield woman died Friday evening from an apparent stabbing at a home in that city, Solano NewsNet has learned.

The stabbing was reported to police around 10 p.m. after a neighbor found a woman suffering from a life-threatening injury inside a home there.

One person was detained at the scene of the incident, and a female victim was located by police inside a room of the home a short time later.

The victim died at the scene from her injuries. Her identity was not known as of Friday evening.
