Firefighters contain two-alarm blaze in Fairfield

Firefighters in Fairfield quickly tackled a two-alarm vegetation fire that broke out during a period of extreme heat on Tuesday.
The fire started around 4 p.m. in a field adjacent to Horizon Drive near the intersection of Clay Bank Road.
A responding fire crew found a large field on fire, with flames spreading to construction pallets behind a business on Western Street.
The cause of the fire was not known as of Tuesday afternoon.
