Firefighters contain three-alarm vegetation fire in Suisun City

Fire crews in Suisun City battled a three-alarm vegetation fire that broke out at a homeless encampment on Monday.
The fire ignited around 3 p.m. near the intersection of Cordelia Road and Pennsylvania Avenue.
A responding fire crew reported a homeless encampment that was fully-engulfed. The fire was burning close to a set of railroad tracks; the fire department requested the stoppage of all trains through the area.
The cause of the fire was not known. No structures were threatened by the blaze.
Cordelia Road remained closed between Pennsylvania Avenue and West Street as of 4 p.m.
