Firefighters tackle three-alarm blaze at tow yard in Vallejo

A three-alarm fire that broke out at a commercial-industrial yard in Vallejo drew a firefighting response from across Solano County on Thursday.
The fire was reported around 6 p.m. at a tow yard near the intersection of Broadway and Sharon Street near Highway 29.
A large plume of smoke was visible for miles and created haze that was visible from Fairfield.
The fire was determined to be under control by 7 p.m. Damage was limited to the tow yard, where cars and several structures were destroyed.
Firefighters from American Canyon, Fairfield and Benicia provided assistance to local crews during the blaze.
