Teen brought to Rio Vista PD with serious head injury

Solano County deputies are investigating an assault that left a Rio Vista teenager with traumatic injuries on Friday.
The incident happened around 2 a.m. when a person brought the teenager to the front of the Rio Vista Police Department’s headquarters on Poppy Road, according to information obtained by Solano NewsNet.
An officer on the scene said the teenager appeared to have sustained a major head wound, but was alert and talking with personnel on the scene.
The teenager was taken by ambulance to an area hospital. Their condition was not immediately known as of Friday morning.
The incident happened as deputies were investigating a possible fight that occurred at an apartment on River Road.
The suspect involving the fight is described as a white male with a thin build, long blonde hair, wearing a green shirt and blue jeans. They were last seen on River Road headed toward the ferry, a police dispatch said.
A California Highway Patrol helicopter is assisting Solano deputies with the search for the suspect.
