One dead after second shooting in Fairfield
The shooting was unrelated to a similar incident that happened in Fairfield on Thursday, police say.

One person died after an argument escalated into a shooting at a home in Fairfield on Thursday.
The shooting happened around 11:15 p.m. in front of a home along the 300 block of Manzanita Avenue.
Officers were initially dispatched to the 2600 block of Laurel Drive after residents there reported hearing several gunshots followed by a person screaming for help. Police later discovered shell casings in front of a home on nearby Manzanita Avenue.
One person was taken to the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the abdomen, where they later died from their injury, police said.
One person was detained at a home along Manzanita Avenue, and a gun was recovered in connection with the shooting, according to a source.
It was not clear if the person detained at the home was a suspect, nor was it known if he was taken into custody.
The incident was the second shooting to happen in the city of Fairfield in less than 24 hours. Earlier in the evening, officers rushed to a neighborhood near Grange Middle School after a man was reportedly shot there.
A two-hour manhunt took place along Scott Street, where a suspect was discovered hiding in the backyard of a home. The suspect initially struggled with officers, but was subdued by a police K9 from Vacaville.
The unidentified suspect was taken to an area hospital to be treated for a dog bite wound.
