Police detain one after bomb threat in Fairfield

One person has been detained by police following a bomb scare at the U.S. National Guard building in Fairfield.
Around 6:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the building along Parker Road for an unknown reason. When they arrived, they encountered a 40-year-old man who claimed to have a time bomb in a car parked in front of the National Guard building.
Police requested a temporary shelter-in-place for those working inside the National Guard building and notified Travis Air Force Base about the incident.
The person was detained just before 7 p.m., and officers conducted a visual inspection of the car as a precaution.
