A threat posted to social media against a Fairfield school on Friday was created by a 17-year-old in Minnesota, school district officials said.
On Friday, the Fairfield Police Department was investigating the threat made against Rodriguez High School, as confirmed in a letter that was circulated to parents and obtained by Solano NewsNet.
The letter said police officers would remain on campus throughout the day as the investigation into the threat continued.
Around 11 a.m., the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District said a teenager in Richfield, Minnesota had come forward as the author of the social media post.
“There is no danger to the Rodriguez High School student body or staff,” a district official affirmed.
