Overturned semi blocks off-ramp in Vacaville

Emergency crews responded to an overturned big-rig that blocked a portion of an off-ramp in Vacaville on Thursday.
Around 7:30 p.m., a Vacaville police officer witnessed a big-rig tip over along the Peabody Road off-ramp from east-bound Interstate 80. The truck was blocking both lanes of the exit ramp, which also serves as the on-ramp to Interstate 80 from Peabody Road.
Fire crews freed a passenger who was trapped inside the big-rig. Both the passenger and the driver were not injured, according to emergency dispatches.
The area was closed to traffic while crews worked to remove the truck from the roadway.
