A magnitude-5.5 earthquake shook parts of Northern California on Thursday.
The earthquake struck in the area of Lake Almanor, northeast of Chico, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor was felt by a Solano NewsNet editor who was in Sacramento for the day, with reports coming in as far as Fairfield.
There were no immediate reports of damage associated with the earthquake.
