Large fire breaks out at Vacaville apartment complex
Several apartment units were damaged by a two-alarm structure fire that ignited in Vacaville on Thursday.
The fire broke out around 1:20 p.m. at an apartment complex on Sara Court near Tulare Drive, according to a Vacaville Fire Department spokesperson.
The blaze started in an upstairs apartment inside Building 16 of the Sycamore Apartments, with flames spreading to other units.
A total of nine apartment units were either damaged or destroyed by the fire, according to an emergency official. It was not clear if anyone was hurt during the incident.
Vacaville Fire Department Chief Kris Concepcion told Solano NewsNet that the fire remains under investigation.
Crews from Fairfield, Suisun City and Dixon assisted firefighters at the scene of the blaze, while firefighters from Davis covered the city of Vacaville for other emergencies.
