Hundreds of Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) customers are without electricity in rural Napa County south of Lake Berryessa.
The power outage was reported Thursday around 3 p.m. and is affecting homes and businesses south of Highway 128, east of Highway 121 and north of Wooden Valley Road in Napa County. The location is just a few miles east of the Solano County line near rural Vacaville.
According to PG&E, more than 900 customers are currently in the dark, and another 100 customers are without electrical service around the perimeter of Lake Berryessa. PG&E says power should be restored to its Napa County customers by 7:30 p.m.
The cause of the outage was linked to a car crash involving a utility pole in the Yolo County town of Esparto. The crash triggered a power outage involving more than 2,000 PG&E customers and sparked a small grass fire that charred a few acres of land.
