Firefighters tackle 3-alarm grass fire in Fairfield

Firefighters in Fairfield rushed to save a mobile home neighborhood after a three-alarm vegetation fire broke out on Monday.
The fire broke out around 1:45 p.m. near the intersection of Hillborn Road and Martin Road.
The wind-whipped fire quickly triggered a three-alarm response after firefighters noticed the blaze burning toward a mobile home community along Goya Drive.
With the help of crews from Vacaville, Dixon, Suisun City and Vallejo, firefighter were able to keep the blaze from reaching the community and contained it to the grass hill.
No evacuation orders were issued for any businesses or homes near the fire. The blaze was contained around 2:30 p.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
