Firefighter suffers heart attack while battling rural Vacaville blaze

A firefighter was taken to the hospital on Thursday after suffering a heart attack while battling a blaze in rural Vacaville.
Around 3:30 p.m., fire crews were dispatched to a home along Shawn Lane where a controlled burn escaped its containment line and began burning surrounding trees and grass.
A first alarm was triggered, drawing firefighters from Vacaville, Dixon and Winters.
The blaze was contained just before 4 p.m.
Around 4:15 p.m., an ambulance was dispatched after a firefighter reportedly collapsed from a heart attack. It was not clear which agency the firefighter was from.
The injured firefighter was taken to a local hospital. Their condition was not known as of Thursday afternoon.
