Three-alarm fire in Vallejo causes explosion, displaces 8 residents

Eight people were left homeless on Tuesday after a three-alarm fire tore through their Vallejo home.
The fire started around 4:30 p.m. along the 300 block of El Dorado Street.
At least one explosion was reported inside the home as firefighters were working to put out the blaze. Firefighters were told to evacuate the structure moments after the explosion took place.
A fire spokesperson later affirmed the source of the explosion was a build-up of smoke inside the residence.
There were no injuries to personnel on the scene, according to a fire dispatch reviewed by Solano NewsNet.
Four adults and four children were displaced as a result of the fire. The Red Cross was assisting the individuals with shelter on Tuesday.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
