Sheriff's deputies raid home, barn in rural Vacaville

Deputies with the Solano County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a home and an adjacent barn in rural Vacaville on Thursday.

The raid happened around 10 a.m. at a home near the intersection of Midway Road and Elizabeth Road.

A Solano NewsNet reader said they were driving in the area when they witnessed deputies in unmarked cars pointing their guns at the house.

A photographer with Solano NewsNet observed vehicles with flashing lights parked in front of a home along Elizabeth Road as well as a Pacific Gas & Electric utility vehicle stationed on the side of the road several feet from the scene.

At least one person was detained during the raid, according to a person familiar with the incident. The source said the raid was connected to an alleged illegal drug grow operation at the property.

A spokesperson for the Solano County Sheriff’s Office has not yet returned a request seeking more information.
