Crash closes portion of Highway 37 in Vallejo

A major injury crash briefly closed a portion of Highway 37 in Vallejo on Saturday.
The crash was reported around 4 p.m. along the Sonoma Boulevard off-ramp from west-bound Highway 37 near the Highway 29 interchange.
A vehicle went off the roadway and then burst into flames, according to dispatch logs reviewed by Solano NewsNet.
Two people were transported to area hospitals with unknown injuries.
Around 4:15 p.m., emergency crews on the scene requested CalTrans issue a SIG Alert announcing the closure of the freeway in the area.
As of 5 p.m., the freeway is open to traffic, but the Sonoma Boulevard off-ramp remains shut down.
