1 hurt after two-alarm house fire breaks out in Fairfield

One person was injured after a two-alarm fire broke out at a home in Fairfield early Saturday morning.
The fire was reported minutes after midnight along the 600 block of Hillside Drive near Dover Avenue.
A responding fire crew found flames on the exterior deck of a home, which quickly spread to the structure itself.
A victim was rescued from inside the home, as were two dogs, according to fire dispatches. The victim was alert and talking with firefighters while being transported to the hospital in an ambulance.
Police were evacuating nearby homes as a precaution.
