More than 500 Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) customers are without power in rural parts of north Dixon after a tractor crashed into a utility pole there.
The crash happened Wednesday around 2:30 p.m. when a tractor clipped a power pole, causing utility lines to fall to the ground.
The incident triggered a small vegetation fire in the area. Fire crews from Dixon and U.C. Davis are tackling the blaze, while workers from PG&E are attempting to restore power to affected residents and businesses.
The power outage stretches east from Russell Boulevard in rural Yolo County to Tremont Road and County Road 104 in eastern Dixon.
