ALERT: Fairfield shooting leaves 1 person injured

Fairfield police are on the scene of a reported shooting that occurred Friday evening.

The shooting happened around 4:45 p.m. in the area of Dover Avenue and San Remo Street, according to police dispatches.

One person was found suffering from a gunshot wound. They were treated by fire paramedics on the scene. Their condition was not readily available.

Police believe the suspect involved in the incident might still be in the area, and are closing off nearby roads while they search for the person.
