3 injured after major head-on crash in Fairfield

Three people were injured after a major head-on crash between several vehicles in Fairfield on Saturday.
The crash was reported around 10:30 p.m. along Vanden Road near Canon Road. Three vehicles were involved in the crash, and the occupants of one vehicle required extrication.
Three people were treated for various injuries, and at least two were transported to area hospitals for further medical attention.
The cause of the crash remains unknown, but Fairfield fire officials said in a social media post that they were dispatched to “multiple vehicle accidents in the last 24 hours.”
“Please drive safe,” a fire department spokesperson wrote.
