The Solano Resource Conservation District and other regional stakeholders are holding their next Solano Prescribed Burn Association Exploration Meeting on Tuesday.
The meeting will include officials from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) and the Yolo Solano Air Quality Management District (YSAQMD), who will speak on the permitting and regulation process for prescribed burns ahead of this year's fire season.
Prescribed burns are one preferred way to clear out dead and overgrown vegetation on properties and along area roadways prior to the start of wildfire season. Prescribed burns can help limit the impact of wildfires that start in the area.
Tuesday's meeting will take place at the Vacaville Fire Protection District Station 64 at 420 Vine St, in Vacaville from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
