PG&E outage leaves 2,300+ customers without service in Vacaville
More than 2,300 customers of Pacific Gas & Electric Company were afflicted by a large-scale power outage on Monday.
The outage happened late Monday morning and affected PG&E customers east of Interstate 80 in Vacaville.
Electrical service to most customers was restored by 2 p.m. A preliminary cause was blamed on the weather.
The outage occurred during a Red Flag Warning, when gusty wind in excess of 40 miles per hour was expected throughout the Sacramento Valley, including northern parts of the county.
